Our work entitled “The use of biomimetic surfaces to reduce single- and dual-species biofilms of Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas putida” was published in the Biofilm journal!
This study aimed to synthesize biomimetic surfaces of Brassica oleracea var. botrytis and Brassica oleracea capitate leaves by wax moulding and characterize their topographic and physicochemical properties. The antibiofilm performance of the synthesized surfaces was assessed against single- and dual-species biofilms of E. coli and P. putida. Overall, the results revealed that both biomimetic surfaces have the potential to reduce biofilm formation.
